Bananenblatt

Step 1

Brush the molds with shelf primer and let them dry in the kiln at 200°C.

Step 2

Draw a template using the fusing mold on a piece of paper and cut it out. Then place the template on the glass, transfer the shape and cut out the glass.

Step 3

Place the glass on the fusing mold and trace the lamellae of the sheet with a pen (3650500). If the glass wobbles a little on the form, simply place a piece of cork under the front and rear edge.

Step 4

Now spread the first layer of powder on the basic glass. When the glass is completely covered, carefully wipe away the excess powder on the previously marked slats. (Please wear a mask!) Now you can sprinkle a second color into the free spaces. Finally, take something black and white to create shadows and light.

Step 5

When you're satisfied with your powdered leaves, carefully place them on the molds in the kiln.

Firing cycle*

1. 120min - 500°C - 0min
2. skip - 725°C - 20min
3. skip - 520°C - 120min
4. 120min - 460°C - 0min
5. End

Step 6

Take the leaves out of the kiln. If a leaf has become a little too light, too yellow or not intense enough for you, simply powder it over again, put it back on the mold and fuse it again.
